This month, attendees will get to hear from Jessica Hester. Jessica not only led the charge to start the WLI Chapter in NWA, but has been a profound leader across many organizations leadership as well as running her own firm in Rogers, Verdant Studio. Learn more about Jessica's presentation below.

Jessica's journey in architecture ignited during her senior year of high school, blending her passions for both the arts and academia. Aware of the predominantly male landscape of this profession, she braced herself for the challenges ahead—pursuing licensure, climbing the ranks, and confronting gender bias. Her acceptance into the prestigious University of Michigan's graduate program marked a pivotal moment in her educational journey.

At just 26, she co-founded her first firm in Georgia, later selling it to return to NWA, where family ties beckoned. This journey led her to establish Verdant Studio in 2015—a haven she envisioned, free of discrimination, where every team member felt empowered and uplifted, especially women in the field. Today, Verdant Studio stands as a testament to her vision, with nearly 60% female representation and the distinction of being the largest solely women-owned firm in Arkansas. Every day, they craft spaces that resonate with people's hearts and souls.
